UPDATE: Remember not too long ago I said my money from the VA might be taken away cuz my file was under review? Well, I got the letter in the mail last night saying that my current rating will remain in effect!!!!! I'm going to keep my $$$$$$!!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Okay, so you take out the rocks in the background, take off the spoiler and change the rims a little and here you see a picture of my new car. Oh yeah, and the fog lamps are round. Stupid Toyota website wouldn't let me copy the picture of MY car. Anyway...I got rid of my beloved Yoko. Er, my 2005 Accord Coupe. She was a 2 door and with my kid growing to mammoth proportions, it wasn't working anymore. Plus, he graduated from the rear facing car seat to a front facing and getting him in and out of a front facing seat while trying to climb over the passenger seat was not happening. I was either going to snap a hip or drop him. So, off I went to Honda. They sucked. So, I drove to Toyota. They rocked. My payment is about $100 cheaper than what I did have with Yoko. I name all of my cars and this one is Yoshi. I figured, it's Japanese, so I needed to think of a proper name. Yoko was appropriate for my Honda. She was fast and nasty! AHAHAHAHAH! God, I miss that car already. It was a tank! The doors were heavy, the car was heavy, but man alive that thing drove like a race car. This one, not so much. But, I'm a momma now so I need to learn how to lay off the gas pedal a little. I gotta say, dropping Wee off to the sitter this morning and whipping open that back door was great!
On a side note...I need good vibes. My Pops was in the hospital over the weekend. He has a bad heart and this was our first official scare as a result of it. He's out now, but they are running tests galore to see what is going on. BD got a new truck too. He got an 09 Tundra V8 monster and quite possibly one of the ugliest trucks ever. I tried to tell him, don't do it! Don't get a V8! It's going to kill us and the insurance will go up! His response, "NO NO, see, I will use about the same amount of gas and the insurance will go down cuz it's a new truck." Mmmm hmmm. Riiiiiight. Well, guess what???? The gas is RIDICULOUS and insurance went up about $20. Why he doesn't listen to me I don't know.
What else??? Oh yeah, 13 work days until I leave this horrid place to crumble within itself. Wee is EVERYWHERE. Oh God. I try to find things to get him to sit in one spot for more than 2 seconds, but it's not happening. He tried to eat one of BD's shoes this weekend. YICK! I couldn't purell him enough. You don't want to know what is on the streets out here in Vegas let alone put your mouth on something that may have touched the ground (*waits for smart ass comment from beloved fellow blogger...you know who you are!*). Going to trek up to Oregon to see my parents and check in on Pops next month.
Other than that, it is officially hotter than the surface of the sun here. Here's a little insight to the Vegas weather: cold, cold, not so cold, cold, HOT, cold, HOT, cold, pleasant, HOT HOT HOT, cold. That's right, 109 today and come Wednesday...81??????????? Seriously??????? My poor a/c unit is going to go on strike. I know it.
